Sad farewell to Angela Wolley

Was a very sad day today when I found out that one of my loveliest clients Angela from Tower was killed by another driver on her way to her holiday and wine course in the Hawkes Bay. Turns out not only is he horrid for passing on a yellow line but he was also up on charges for scalding his toddler. It always saddens me when someone so nice and young as she is only my age has their life shortened by such a mean person.

She will be missed.

I just wanted to say how gutted I was when Angela's brother called me yesterday to let me know. I went to school with Angela and have known the family since I was ten, this is a tragic waste of a brilliant life. My heart goes out to Steve and Glenda, Matt, Monica and most importantly Elise. My thoughts are with you.

I just want to say that it is a tragedy for Angela to have lost her life on Saturday...I don't know her but I was one of the first people at the scene of the accident on Saturday. I am saddened at the loss as Angela is a victim of a carless idiot...there are several things about the accident that have made me MAD...the fact that she was minding her own business on the road and a 'local' who would have known that he was only metres away from a passing lane so he didn't have to be where he was! also what has made my heart break is that she genuinely looked like someones mother, daughter, friend and everything else and for her to be taken like she was is wrong!
My thoughts are with her family and friends at this sad time.

Hi. I am Elise's (Angela's daughter) father. Thank you for the comments made so far, I know it means a lot to Elise that there is support out there. Her life is never going to be the same again but it will be slightly easier with all the love and support she has been shown. The one thing she is struggling with is that the fact that all the news reports have been about the guy that hit her mum and she has Angela has been nothing more than a quick throw away line with name and age. I haven't found one report that mentions the fact that she left behind a 12 year old daughter. But for everybody who has left messages - thank you.

Kia Ora koutou, nga manaakitangi o te atua ki koutou i tenei wa pouri - our deepest aroha (love) and condolences to your family at this very sad time. My partner and I, plus our 11 year old daughter were one of the first on the scene and my partner helped to control traffic while we waited for services to arrive. As we waited, we most certainly felt for your mum and of course your family. I have mentioned my girl's age because it appears that is the similar age as you Elise and we can only but imagine what you are feeling at the moment. We have been dissappointed with the coverage given to the other driver, who it appears was in the wrong, but most importantly that you have lost your mum. Thank you for providing a space where we could send on our deepest sympathy and aroha to Angela's family, we thought about you all the way back to Hamilton and for most of the weekend and this week.
